Through themes of trauma, love, loss, fatherlessness, and identity, the novel offers a nuanced portrayal of resilience, healing, and reconnection. Written in accessible English, it has been shortlisted for both the Association of Nigerian Authors Prize for Fiction and the Chinua Achebe Prize for Fiction in 2024.
